When Tadweld first came to see us, they already had a company brochure in place. It had been created internally following their acquisition of AJAX Safe Access in 2020. It contained all the right information, but it didn’t quite reflect the scale, confidence or direction of the business as it stands today.
While the detail was strong, it didn’t flow in the way a company brochure should. This wasn’t about discarding everything and starting again. It was about taking solid foundations and reshaping them into something clearer, stronger and more aligned with Tadweld’s growth.

Designing Tadweld’s Company Brochure
Structured rethink, refined design
Starting With Structure
In our first consultation, we were presented with a large amount of technical information that was intended to sit within a 12 page booklet, not neccessarily a company brochure. It became clear that condensing that level of detail into such a tight format would only lead to cramped layouts and an overwhelming reader experience.
We recommended reducing a lot of the technical information and expanding the brochure to 20 pages. It allowed the content to breathe and gave us the space to guide readers logically through the company services and story, but allowed the reader to engage further through strategically placed QR codes throughout the brochure.
Before redesigning altogether, we rebuilt the existing brochure layout. This helped us understand how the space was being used and where information was competing for attention. By analysing it properly first, we could create a stronger structural framework rather than simply applying a fresh visual layer.
With recent presentations and their website providing a clear reference point for imagery and design, this gave us a perfect starting point for consistency across their branding and allowed us to refine and modernise the design language.
Developing the Look and Feel
With the structure agreed, the second stage focused on refining the visual direction. We held in-depth video calls to discuss tone, clarity and hierarchy, gradually shaping the feel of the final piece.
The content covered company background, values and accreditations, the management team, an introduction to products and services, and the all-important reasons why clients choose Tadweld. The key was making sure each section felt intentional rather than compressed.
The design moved towards a cleaner, more confident layout. Text was reduced and tightened so it never felt heavy. Spacing was introduced to create clarity. Imagery was given room to lead the eye. Strong typographic hierarchy made the brochure easy to scan, particularly for busy decision-makers.
As Martyn explained during correspondence with the client:
“I have kept the focus on directing customers to each of the relevant web pages. Each section has a brief quote from the website, along with an accompanying image and QR code. I have kept the text to a minimum to keep the brochure feeling direct, so as to never feel overwhelming for the reader. This also allows the imagery and spacing to do the work, keeping it feeling modern and professional.”
That principle shaped the entire document.
Making Print and Digital Work Together
A key requirement from Tadweld was the integration of QR codes throughout the brochure. These were not decorative additions. They needed to serve a clear purpose.
Each QR code was carefully positioned alongside relevant service information, directing readers straight to detailed web pages. This creates a seamless connection between print and digital, turning the brochure into an interactive sales tool rather than a static document.
Every code was tested thoroughly during proofing to ensure reliability before production.
Proofing and Production
As with all our larger projects, collaboration was continuous. Refinements were discussed over video calls and managed carefully through email proofing rounds until the design was signed off.
Once digital approval was confirmed, we produced a hard copy proof. This step is always important. It allows the client to feel the stock, assess scale and review the finish before committing to the full print run.
The final brochure features a gloss laminated cover, giving it durability and presence, paired with uncoated inner pages that provide a tactile, natural feel. The contrast works beautifully. It feels substantial in hand and polished in presentation, ideal for meetings and exhibitions.
From the first conversation to final production, the entire process spanned four months. It was steady, considered and collaborative throughout.
The Outcome
Tadweld now has a 20 page company brochure that flows logically, communicates clearly and reflects the professionalism of the business. It supports conversations, guides prospects with confidence and links seamlessly to their digital platforms.
The structured framework we created also laid the groundwork for a follow-up 16 page Food and Drink sector brochure, ensuring consistency while tailoring the content to a specific audience.
This project is a great example of what happens when we take time to understand the structure before shaping the design. When print is built carefully from the inside out, it becomes more than a brochure. It becomes a tool that supports growth.
At Team Purple, we create solutions better than you can imagine. And sometimes that starts by refining what you already have and turning it into something far more powerful.
