Growing Together: The Edible York 2026 Calendar

  1. We love working with local organisations that make a difference in York. This year we were delighted to design and produce the Edible York 2026 calendar - a project that celebrates community growing and sustainable food across the city.

  1. Capturing York’s Green Spaces

The calendar features stunning photography by Emily Hansen, showcasing the plants, flowers, fruit and veg nurtured in Edible York’s city centre beds and at the Greenfields Community Garden on Haxby Road. Each month highlights the natural beauty of community growing, inspiring York residents to enjoy seasonal produce and get involved with Edible York’s mission.

  1. Inspired by Edible York’s Branding

Our designer Dom created the layout in-house, drawing inspiration directly from Edible York’s website and digital assets. The result is a clean, modern design that reflects the organisation’s character while keeping the photography front and centre. The design balances clarity and warmth, ensuring the calendar is both useful and beautiful.

  1. Practical and Sustainable Print

We produced the calendar as a half-fold A3 wall calendar, stapled and drilled for easy hanging at home or in the office. To align with Edible York’s values and budget, we used a 200gsm uncoated stock – giving a natural, organic feel while being cost-effective. The uncoated finish also makes the calendar easy to write on, so key dates and community events can be noted down.

  1. About Edible York

    As the team describes themselves:

“Edible York aims to encourage York's residents to grow more fruit and veg, as well as encourage the growth of the local food market to help make our city more sustainable. This calendar celebrates the beautiful plants that grow in the two city centre beds and also in the wonderful Greenfields Community Garden off of Haxby Road.”
